First week roadmap

Recommended order for new ranchers in Early Access.

  1. 1

Clear land and craft a workbench

Gather wood and stone, then build your workbench — the hub for scarecrows, fences, and machine parts.

  2. 2

    Start crops with scarecrow protection

Buy seeds from Youssef, water daily, and protect fields from crows. See the farming guide for season tips.

  3. 3

    Sign power at city hall

Subscribe with Victor so machines and future sprinklers can run. Plan wind or solar later for surplus income.

  4. 4

    Add coop or barn livestock

Chickens offer fast egg money; mammals need water tower coverage and auto-feeding kits at scale.

  5. 5

    Unlock the pickup truck

Complete intro quests, save from farming and ranching, then buy at the dealership — details in the vehicles guide.

Use the interactive ranch checklist tool to track these steps in your browser, or read the tier list rankings before choosing livestock and seeds.
