The Ranchers Sunvale Map Reference

Sunvale is the open-world region where The Ranchers takes place — roughly 16 km² of farmland, town districts, highways, coastal islands, mines, and dungeons. Unlike fenced farm sims, the map includes active traffic, a city center, and multiple biomes reachable by foot, horse, scooter, pickup truck, yacht, or subway.

Map scale and biomes

RedPilz designed Sunvale as a living open world, not a single farm tile. Confirmed biome types include:

• Player ranch plots — customizable homestead locations
• Sunvale town — vendors, city hall, museum, dealership
• Farmland and prairie — crop fields and wild foraging
• Forests and hills — wood, surface ore, wildlife
• Coastal zones — yacht access, islands, shipwrecks
• Mines and dungeons — underground ore and monsters

Subway system (15 stations)

Patch 0.8.10.420 expanded the subway to 15 stations with coverage of major map points of interest. Subway travel supports:

• Local fast travel between stations
• Traveling with attached or roped animals
• Avoiding highway traffic during town errands

Subway complements — does not replace — personal vehicles for ore hauling. Use subway for passenger trips; use pickup truck trunks for cargo.

Transit posts

Transit posts are player-built fast-travel nodes linking ranch, town, mines, and auction points. After unlocking the pickup truck, place posts at:

1. Ranch core
2. Town market / city hall
3. Primary mine entrance
4. Auction drop-off zone

Overnight parking (17 locations)

The June 2026 update added 17 overnight parking spots across the map. Vehicles left outside your ranch or outside these designated zones may be impounded — recover via the My Garage smartphone app. See travel guide and smartphone apps guide.

Coastal and island access

Yachts reach wild islands and shipwrecks not accessible by land. Coastal content holds unique salvage and resource nodes. Assign co-op roles: pilot, combat, mining — exploration guide.

Navigation tools

• Smartphone map app — pins vendors, quests, and custom markers
• Subway map — station list at each terminal
• Quest markers — main story navigation; skip-driving on select quests
• Traffic system — NPC vehicles obey lights and detour around obstacles (June 2026 traffic update)

Map and co-op

Co-op friends share the host’s world state. Transit posts and overnight parking benefit the whole group. Agree on post placement before building — moving water towers or posts later disrupts coverage grids.

Post-launch map updates

Early Access may expand Sunvale with new regions, subway stations, and ranch plot options. We update this reference after major patch notes. Community map overlays will link here when verified.
